Once every one or two years, subject to the amount of use and regular maintenance, it is advisable to ‘Deep clean’ an infilled artificial turf to remove contaminants which have built up within the structure of the surfacing system.
These include dust, general and organic debris, and particles of the artificial pile material itself as it wears down under use. If not removed this contamination will ultimately work its way downwards through the infill, restricting drainage and impacting on play performance and player comfort.
However, our maintenance technicians using a specific and controlled mechanical process incorporating brushing, suction and filtering, will remove this build-up and regrade the infill, returning it back into the pile of the artificial turf.
The result is a refreshed surface which will perform better and last longer as a result of this additional aftercare.
