S&C Slatter is delighted to be the Independent Schools Association (ISA) Gold Preferred Supplier for the category of Sports Construction including Artificial Sports Pitches.

This recognises our standing within the Independent Schools sector and confirms our commitment to work with the Association and its member schools in delivering the very highest standards of sport facility provision and aftercare.

Founded in 1879, the Independent Schools Association is one of the oldest of the independent schools’ organisations and provides professional support to its 424 member Headteachers and schools who benefit from a wide range of membership services.

ISA members value innovation and inspiration and aim to build on the best traditions to promote a range of qualities including integrity, industry and responsibility. S&C Slatter looks to play an active part in its relationship with the ISA making available our substantial expertise and experience where a beneficial contribution can be made for member schools.

In 2016, we were the first company in the World to be confirmed as a FIH Certified Field Builder by The International Hockey Federation (FIH).

A FIH Certified Field Builder is defined as a company which specialises in building hockey fields and provides a holistic service to their clients. They must have a proven ability to construct fields to the standards required for hockey, have appropriate in-house civil engineering expertise for the design and construction of hockey fields, operate quality management systems to ensure consistency in their work, and provide comprehensive maintenance advice to their customers.

The FIH Certified Field Builder designation is an important part of the FIH Quality Programme for Hockey Turf, which is designed to ensure the sustainability, affordability and accessibility of hockey turf worldwide. This recognition by Hockey’s governing body places S&C Slatter in a unique and elite category of specialists.

We are a Principal Contractor member of the Sports and Play Construction Association in respect of synthetic pitches, multi-sports and play surfaces.

The Association has a strict admission criteria which ensures all members have appropriate experience, financial status and quality of workmanship.

Constructionline is a register of pre-qualified contractors and consultants within the UK construction industry. Established in 1998 by the UK Government to provide a single reference point for all pre-qualification data, membership is subject to a rigorous annual re-certification process. S&C Slatter is a Gold Member of Constructionline.

Well established and respected throughout the construction industry, Builder’s Profile is an open-access common database service providing compliance and PQQ information. It enables a cost-effective way to administer, maintain and improve supply chain management.

The Institute of Groundsmanship is the leading professional organisation for all aspects of grounds management. It is recognised by the National Governing Bodies of Sport and public, private and voluntary sectors for its industry knowledge and technical expertise.

S&C Slatter is certified by The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) which was created to improve health & Safety standards across the United Kingdom. CHAS is a founder member of Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP).

EXOR is part of the Alcumus Group and a founder member of Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP). EXOR assesses suppliers via a process aligned to government procurement standards, including PAS 91, covering five core procurement disciplines. We are certified as a Gold Standard EXOR Accredited Company.

Safecontractor is a leading third party accreditation scheme which recognises very high standards in health and safety management amongst UK contractors. We have been awarded accreditation because of our commitment to excellence.

As an ISO 9001 certified company we have been independently assessed to verify that we operate a formal Quality Management System for all areas of the business including facilities, people, training, services and equipment. This certification is subject to an annual audit conducted by a United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accredited body.
